Rafael is one of the heroes that appears in Alvin and the Chipmunks 2: Trouble in Rio de Janeiro. Rafael, along with Blu, Jewel, Nico, and Pedro would later turned into horses by a furious Alvin Seville to make Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor to pursues Marcel, Armando, and Tipa in order to prevent them from escaping with a ransom money and the captive birds. However, before leaving, Alvin told Simon, Theodore, Brittany, Jeanette, and Eleanor that the transformation spell can only last for 8 hours.
